It seems your 51S-1 has got a MCN of 5132.
Years ago, I found this note on the net, but could not remember where :
' Collins MCN is Manufacturing Control Number. It is the identifier for assemblies
during the manufacturing process. The serial number is the last thing that
goes on a completed unit. At one point in the life of the s/line they
simply used the MCN of the top level unit as the serial no. '
So, in your case, apparently the SN (serial number) was dropped, and only the MCN was ink printed on the label. It places your receiver at the end of the life of the series.
This is consistent with the round emblem I guess.
